Congratulations to Daniel '24

 

Félicitations à Daniel Pressman, promotion 2024 !

 

Daniel est passé finaliste du Programme national de bourses de mérite 2024, et a reçu a cet effet un Certificat de Mérite attestant de sa performance remarquable dans cette compétition !

Il y avait 1 300 000 candidats au début du processus. Seuls quelques 15 000 lycéens américains, représentant moins d'un pour cent des futurs diplômés (High School Diploma), reçoivent cette distinction. Daniel a obtenu cet honneur grâce à ses excellentes notes à l'examen PSAT/NMSQT* et à un processus de candidature qui a nécessité un essai personnel et une recommandation d'un professeur.

Notre lycéen talentueux est maintenant candidat à l'une des 7 500 bourses de mérite d'un montant de 2 500 dollars pour payer ses frais de scolarité à l'université, qui serait offerte au printemps 2024.

Depuis son arrivée à Rochambeau en 6eme, et en plus de ses résultats scolaires et nombreux concours gagnés ces dernières années (mathématiques, cryptographie...), Daniel est un membre actif de la communauté de Rochambeau en tant qu'élève Ambassadeur et en tant que fondateur du Club d'échecs, association d'élèves existant depuis plusieurs années.

Daniel est également invité à candidater au titre de "US Presidential Scholars Award" cette année ! Nous sommes très fiers de notre élève et nous voulons souligner son incroyable réussite.

*Le PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) est un test administré par le conseil universitaire et la société de la bourse nationale du mérite (NMSC) aux États-Unis.

Congratulations to Daniel Pressman '24 !

 

Daniel has advanced to Finalist standing in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program and received a Certificate of Merit attesting to his distinguished performance in the competition! 

 

There were 1,300,000 entrants at the beginning of the process. Only about 15,000 US high school students, representing less than one percent of graduating seniors, receive this distinction. Daniel achieved this honor through his top scores on the PSAT/NMSQT exam* and an application process that required a personal essay and a teacher recommendation.

Our academically talented high school senior is now being considered for one of the 7,500 National Merit $2500 Scholarships to be used toward his college tuition, to be offered in the spring of 2024.

Since he arrived at Rochambeau in 6th grade, and in addition to his academic achievements and many awards won these last years (math, crypto...), Daniel is an active member of the Rochambeau community as a Student Ambassador and as a founder of the Chess Club, a student association existing for several years now.

Daniel is also invited to be Candidate for recognition for this US Presidential Scholars Award this year! We are very proud of our Senior and want to recognize his amazing accomplishment.
